Silicone rubber self-adhesive tapes are heat-sulfurized (high temperature vulcanized silicone HTV), room temperature vulcanized (RTV), and room temperature vulcanization type is divided into polycondensation reaction type and addition reaction type. Silicone rubber self-adhesive tapes are rubbers in which the main chain consists of alternating silicon and oxygen atoms, and silicon atoms are usually attached with two organic groups. Ordinary silicone rubber is mainly composed of silicone chains containing methyl groups and a small amount of vinyl groups. The introduction of phenyl can improve the high and low temperature performance of silicone rubber, while the introduction of trifluoropropyl and cyano groups can increase the temperature and oil resistance of silicone rubber. Silicone rubber has good low-temperature resistance and can work normally at -55°C. After the introduction of phenyl, up to -73 °C. The heat resistance of silicone rubber is also outstanding. It can work at 180°C for a long time. It can withstand a few weeks or more when it is slightly higher than 200°C. It is still elastic, and it can withstand high temperatures above 300°C instantaneously. Silicone rubber has good air permeability and its oxygen transmission rate is the highest among synthetic polymers. In addition, the silicone rubber self-adhesive tape also has outstanding characteristics that are physiologically inert and does not cause coagulation, and thus is widely used in the medical field.
